Data interpretation strategies

Bring surveys from one-dimensional interpretation to three-dimensional interpretation.

  • Absolute Scores (the first dimension) — Our reports display percent favorable scores (as well as percent neutral and unfavorable scores) to reveal climate perceptions, but these should not be the sole basis for prioritizing action. Certain categories always yield higher scores than others. So, seeing 55% favorable could be considered extremely high or extremely low, depending on the content.

  • Relative Comparison (the second dimension) — To put perceptions into perspective, we offer multiple comparisons including benchmarks, external normative data, internal normative data, historical scores, demographic scores, and business unit scores.

  • Importance (the third dimension) — Certain categories within your survey will be more important than others because of your organization’s business context or current strategic initiatives. Our reports help communicate priorities to your managers that will effect improvement in critical areas.
