Genesee Presented at SIOP

Two of Genesee's consultants, Sarah Johnson and Paul Mastrangelo along with other notable survey leaders presented the following 3 sessions at the Annual Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP) Conference. These sessions were well attended and generated a great deal of interest.

  • “Staying on Your High Horse:
    Ethical Challenges in Employee Surveys”

Three sets of scenarios presenting ethical issues commonly found in employee survey research are discussed by a panel of three survey professionals. The nuances distinguishing changes in decisions and strategies relating to the different scenarios will be discussed. Participants will be given a chance to pose their own ethical questions.

  • “Are you still wondering…
Ponderables about Using Employee Survey Results”
The success of any employee survey hinges on what happens after the survey has been completed. In this session survey professionals discuss their findings to commonly asked survey questions on using employee survey data in organizations. This session is a sister to another proposed session discussing ponderables on survey methodologies.

  • “Patterns Across Global Organizational Surveys:
    Timeliness, Norms, Structural Equation Models”
Companies have been surveying their employees for over 50 years, but in the past decade leaders of survey programs have been faced with increasingly complex survey data due to globalization. We examine cross-cultural differences in the timing of employees’ participation, their responses, and how they consider satisfaction and commitment.
